Rental periods

The holiday home is for rent per weekend (arrival Friday, departure Monday), per midweek (arrival Monday, departure Friday) and per week (arrival Friday, departure Friday). Other rental periods are negotiable.

Reservation and payment

After receipt of the reservation, the tenant will receive a contract and invoice by email. 50% of the total sum of the invoice must be paid within 8 days after the invoice date. The remaining amount must have been paid no later than 14 days before the first day of the rental period of the holiday home. In case of a default on these payment periods, the property owner retains the right to cancel the rental agreement.


During the rental period the property owner is not liable for any loss or damage experienced by tenant, for example as a result of theft, burglary, injury, non- or malfunctioning of technical equipment or other facilities or otherwise. During the rental period the tenant will be held liable for the loss of keys and any damage to the holiday home, the inventory and/or the garden as far as this is caused by him- or herself or other parties and that is not related to normal wear. Damage will be considered to have been caused during the rental period where this is detected within 24 hours of departure of the tenant and where this damage had not been reported within 24 hours of arrival.


A € 200.00 deposit will be added to the invoice. After settlement of possible costs of damage caused during the rental period, this deposit will be reimbursed to the bank account of tenant within 14 days of departure from the holiday home.


In case of cancellation of a reservation, the following costs will be charged:
  • Up to 1 month before the first day of the rental period: 25% of the total rent
  • Within 1 month before the first day of the rental period: 50% of the total rent
  • During the rental period: 100% of the total rent
  • Cancellation insurance is recommended.

    Arrival and departure

    Between 3 and 5 PM on the day of arrival the tenant should collect the keys of the holiday home and an access pass for the resort at the reception of recreation park Mijnden. Arrival at other times is only possible after an agreement by letter. The keys and access pass must be returned to this reception between 9 and 11 AM on the day of departure. All costs incurred at Mijnden must then be settled (in cash!).


    Maximum 5 persons can be accommodated in the holiday home. The holiday home may not be occupied by more than the number of persons indicated beforehand.


    Maximum 2 cars can park next to the holiday home. Parking at the roadside or in the garden is not allowed.


    Cleanup costs are included in the rent. Upon departure:
  • no food or dirty dishes may be left behind in the house;
  • the refrigerator, cooking ring, microwave oven and BBQ must be clean, and
  • rubbish must be disposed of in the special containers at recreation park Mijnden.
  • Maximum € 50.00 will be deducted from the refundable deposit in case of a default on one or more of these rules.

    Energy, water and tourism tax

    Costs for electricity, water and tourism tax are included in the rent.


    Pets are not allowed in the holiday home. The deposit will not be reimbursed in case of a default on this rule.


    Smoking is not allowed in the holiday home. The deposit will not be reimbursed in case of a default on this rule.


    Rental of a bedclothes package is mandatory. This consists of 1 pillowcase, 1 continental quilt and 1 fitted sheet. This package costs € 7.50 per person.


    In order to be able to check whether the rules of the rental agreement are obeyed or to carry out repairs, the property owner and/or workers has/have the right of access to the holiday home.

    Public space

    Tenant should obey all rules applicable at recreation park Mijnden. These rules are available at the reception of the resort.

    Applicable law

    Only Dutch law is applicable to the rental agreement.
